Data deletion

These instructions apply to social-platform accounts connected to SCRIBE Investigations.

Revoke platform access

The account owner can revoke SCRIBE Investigations from the relevant platform's authorised apps, business integrations or account-access settings. Revocation immediately prevents the revoked credential from authorising new platform actions.

Delete SCRIBE Investigations connection data

After access is revoked, the account owner may request removal of the corresponding SCRIBE Investigations connection record and encrypted access credentials. SCRIBE Investigations will remove the stored platform credential and any connection metadata that is no longer needed for security, legal or audit purposes. Social posts, comments and messages held by Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube or another platform remain subject to that platform's own deletion controls.

What is not retained

SCRIBE Investigations does not collect social-media passwords. Operational capability audits do not store access-token values, direct-message contents or account-insight values in public audit records.

How to request deletion

Use the contact route on scribeinvestigations.com and state the social platform and account username to be disconnected. Do not send passwords, access tokens or other credentials in the request. The request will be used only to identify the authorised connection and complete the deletion.
