Privacy without the fog.
SCRIBE collects as little personal information as possible. The current website has no analytics, advertising pixels, user accounts or newsletter database.
Who is responsible
SCRIBE is an independent documentary and research project operated by Gavin Lee in the United Kingdom. Contact is available through the Contact SCRIBE page.
Information collected on this website
The current static website does not ask you to create an account and does not operate its own contact or newsletter database. The local newsletter demonstration validates an email address in your browser only and does not store or transmit it.
Contact form
The contact form is hosted by Jotform. When you choose to open and submit it, Jotform processes the details you provide so SCRIBE can review and respond to your enquiry. SCRIBE uses those details only for the purpose stated in the form, relies on the need to respond to your request, and does not add them to a marketing list.
Enquiry information should be retained only as long as needed to respond, manage a correction or rights record, and meet any necessary legal or audit requirement. Do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is essential to the enquiry.
Cookies and analytics
The SCRIBE static pages do not intentionally set analytics or advertising cookies. External services opened from the site—including Jotform, source publishers and future video hosts—may apply their own cookies and privacy policies. Non-essential tracking will not be added to SCRIBE without an appropriate information and consent mechanism.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information SCRIBE holds about you, request correction or deletion where applicable, or object to its use. Use the contact route and select a privacy or general enquiry. You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes
This notice will be reviewed before analytics, accounts, newsletter delivery, membership or any other new data use is introduced.
